How do I help someone I care about who has a depressive disorder but won’t seek help?
It can be very difficult to help someone who’s depressed. We’ve put together suggestions on how to help someone receive treatment or manage depression, once diagnosed.

What is the online community?
Our Families for Depression Awareness Web-based support community is designed to fill a critical need for the family members, friends, spouses or significant others who live and care for individuals with depression or bipolar disorder.

Do I have to be a “signed up” member to participate in the community?
Yes, to post comments in our discussion groups, you’ll need to sign in. This is for your own protection and the protection of others in the group.
What if I need technical help?

Please be as specific as possible when describing the problem. For example, tell us what type of browser you’re using (include the version number).
We will respond within 24-48 hours to help determine the nature of the problem
